CILTSA Gauteng recently held the 2008 CILT International Africa Forum:
 

   
 

The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILTSA) South Africa hosted the Annual Meeting and Conference of the CILT Africa Forum in Johannesburg, South Africa from the 19th to 22nd February, 2008.

The event brought together logistics and transport professionals from all over Africa to share their experiences in the logistics and transport industry.

The Forum discussed many issues facing the different CILT sections throughout Africa. The future of CILT in Africa was examined. Dr David Maunder, Director of Professional Development for CILT International, maintained that “African sections are now sustainable and good transport systems will enable all countries to grow their economies.” Cyril Bleasdale, President of CILT International, concluded that CILT International is very pleased with the achievements in Africa.

The event proved to be a great success and networking opportunity for the different CILT countries.
The African countries were given an opportunity to discuss their difficulties, successes and challenges, which provided an extensive platform to learn and grow.
